Toronto, like other cities, is faced with an aging infrastructure, a growing population, and the challenge of adapting to the increasing frequency of storms as a result of climate change. Funding challenges make it increasingly difficult to find standard solutions for many of these problems. The good news: cities around the world are leading in innovative solutions to these challenges, helping to build economically, environmentally, and socially successful places to live. How is this being accomplished, and what can we learn from cities that we can apply to our own organizations? How are nonprofits assisting in this remarkable transformation? David Miller will speak from his perspective as Mayor, Head of the C40 cities climate leadership group, the Future of Cities Global Fellow at NYU and as the President and CEO of WWF Canada.
